2 Stroke Vs. 4 Stroke

2 Stroke OR 4 Stroke

Everyone knows what I am talking about. The Big debate on which is "better". The two stroke and four stroke are different engines and each has there advantages and disadvantages.
So here is some information about the two:
2 Stroke Advantages:
  • The engine of a two stoke produces twice the amount of power as a four stroke engine of the same size would. This is because the spark plug fires once every revolution of the crankshaft.
  • Much simpler than 4 strokes, have less parts, are are lighter.
4 Stroke Advantages:
  • Use less fuel than 2 strokes
  • engines pollute less
  • genuinely last longer than 2 strokes
2 Stroke Disadvantages:
  • Usually wear out faster than 4 strokes
  • Use more fuel than 4 strokes
  • you have to measure and mix two stroke engine oil with your fuel
4 Stroke Disadvantages:
  • Half as powerful as the 2 stroke
  • More parts, more can go wrong
  • Can be more complicated to work on if something goes wrong
There's just a little bit about each.
